  • Thesis Chronicles: When Your Very Own Plot Thickens

I was just saying that after all that mega-exercising (equivalent to bench-pressing 250lbs.,15reps) of critical thinking and application of theory on my thesis, I welcome the change of having to do the tedious job of a detailed formalist reading on Ba’s Scarlet Song. Plot, characters, theme, motifs, POV, conflict, I say hello to them again for a report tomorrow.

Then suddenly I get an email from my thesis adviser, sending back my chapters 2 and 3 with her comments. And so the plot thickens. Too bad that it’s not for the story that I am currently analyzing, but for my very own academic life.

Time to brew some more coffee.
